About Ama Gaisie
London born and Cape Town raised, Ama experienced growing up between two different cultures, drawing her earliest inspirations from her parents CD collection and eclectic taste.
Her vision is to share stories that make people feel understood and that transports them to a different world.
She is always looking for new ways to express her experiences within the world and in turn constantly experimenting and bridging the gap between genres, all the while writing with honesty and a raw vulnerability.
Already seen through her sound exploration, she has a deep passion for storytelling and world building which she also channels through performance, whether that be Film or theatre.
Her music feels like overturning a rock to find a whole universe of creatures that live beneath it, in both chaos and harmony. A blend of Jazz and R&B influence, soulful vocals and indie sounds co-inhabiting.
